Having used eyeliner every single day, the best ones, IMO, can be found in the Japanese drugstore. Brands like K-Palette, Heroine Make, Dolly Wink, etc. have really amped up our eyelining game with their waterproof and long-lasting eyeliners. Joining in the bandwagon is the new brand – Love Liner.

Love Liner is a brand of eye makeup products (mainly eyeliners and mascaras for now) that contains moisturizing ingredients such that they not only give you a beautiful appearance but also keep your skin youthful and healthy. Their eyeliners are really popular as these were ranked no.1 for two years straight at rankings of both @cosme and Rakuten Global (2014-2015).
New Color Collection Eyeliners
Now that we all know what Love Liner is, let me start talking about their newest collection – their color eyeliners. Newly released this month, the limited edition Love Liner Color Collection carries five color liquid eyeliners in the same aluminum packaging (though color coordinated to represent the shade) and with the same formula and pigment, signature of the brand. The shades are Burgundy Brown, Khaki Black, Pink Brown, Aqua Blue and Moss Mint. The first three colors are returning releases while the last two are fresh ones. These retail for JPY 1600 (+ tax) each and can be easily found in drugstores across Japan.
Colored liquid eyeliners that I’ve tried so far have just been somewhat disappointing (not enough pigment, takes too long to settle/dry, not long-lasting, flakes during wear, etc.), but not these. Nope! I do not have the products with me but I did swatch them from the drugstore – and let me tell you, they’re insanely magical. Seriously guys, these are the best ones I’ve seen from any brand! The brush tip is super easy to use and glides smoothly, allowing you much control with the kind of line you’d like to draw. The pigmentation of these are over-the-top – one swipe and already, the color’s super opaque. And the staying power? Amaaazing! I swatched them on my hand at around 6:00pm in the evening and they were still there the next day.
Highly recommended for make-artists or for those of you who just want to make their eye looks more interesting! Hurry though, ‘cos these are only limited edition (which is the only con of these, TBH.)
